I tried to recover deleted photos from a camera memory card through Lexar and Zar. I could recover 570 photos?

Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery

only. I was not charged to download these 2 programs. However, I am sure I can recover more. That’s what my camera company said. Will paid programs, such as stellar, recover more images? I have a feeling that paid recovery programs are better than non paid ones.

Chosen Answer:

First of all, do not save any new file to camera’s memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.

Download recover software asoftech photo recovery ( http://www.asoftech.com/apr/ ) Install and open asoftech photo recovery, select the memory card, and click ‘Start’ button.

I have had good luck with Picasa3. It’s a free program so wouldn’t cost you anything to try.

I don’t think the main problem is the recovery program.

How many photos were stored inside the memory card before you deleted them?

Before you try to recover those photos, did you take some new photos in between the time of delete and the recovery?

If there were more than 570 photos in the memory card and you took some photos prior to the recovery, you might over-write some of the old photos already.

Once you over-write it, you will never able to recover it.

You can give Recuva a try, if you think those 2 programs are not doing the job.
